Steps
Identify the keystone actions
Pick the 3-5 actions that, if you did them every morning, would deliver the largest share of your success. Most people pick too many — narrow ruthlessly.
Anchor to a fixed trigger
Anchor the ritual to a non-negotiable trigger (waking up, feet on the floor) so it starts automatically without decision.
Sequence for low friction
Order the actions so each one naturally cues the next. Friction at any step breaks the chain — design for momentum.
Track for 30 days
Track adherence for 30 days. The ritual becomes automatic around day 21 — until then, treat it as a non-negotiable commitment.
Refine, don't expand
After 30 days, refine the existing steps; resist adding new ones. A ritual that runs reliably for 5 actions beats an expanded one that breaks.
