How to Identify and Eliminate Internal Friction Using the Three-Brain Analysis -- A practical exercise to identify where your physical, emotional, and logical responses conflict and create energy-draining friction

Steps

  1. Choose a conflicting situation

Pick something you experience conflict about, like a food you love eating but know is unhealthy for you

  2. Identify the physical response

Rate on a 1-10 scale how your physical brain responds - taste, texture, immediate physical sensations

  3. Assess the emotional response

Rate how your emotional brain responds - guilt, pleasure, social feelings about the choice

  4. Evaluate the logical response

Rate how your logical brain responds - long-term consequences, rational analysis of the choice

  5. Identify the friction points

Notice where the ratings conflict most - this is where your energy is being burned inefficiently

  6. Align the parts

Work to get your three brains to meet and decide which part should be in control and when
