Self-concept filters performance — high-status identity improves results
Your self-concept is the lens through which you experience everything — and it's more powerful than your actual history. If you view yourself as low-status, you carry that into every meeting, every negotiation, every decision. The internal conflict it creates drains energy that should go toward performance. On the flip side, when you build a genuine high-status self-concept through real value creation — not pretense, not affirmations without substance — your performance improves because the friction disappears. How you categorize yourself determines whether you can even visualize yourself in the category of 'successful entrepreneur' or 'leader.' If you can't see it internally, you won't achieve it externally.
