Three-question test to validate any niche fast
Before you build anything, run the three-question test. First: does your prospect have an emotional, irrational need — not just a logical preference, but something they feel viscerally? Second: are they proactively searching for a solution right now, not just passively curious? Third: do they have few or no perceived alternatives? If you get three yeses, the probability of success is very high. This is the framework I use to evaluate any market before investing serious time. It filters out the niches where you'd be swimming upstream trying to educate people out of indifference. You want hungry buyers who already know they have a problem and can't find a good answer. Three yeses means they're waiting for you.
